About Us: We are a well-established importer and wholesaler specialising in giftware, home décor, and memorial ornaments. Our products bring comfort, beauty, and sentiment to homes and hearts across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a proactive and personable Customer Service & Marketing Associate to join our friendly Manchester-based team.
Role Overview: This role combines customer service excellence with hands-on marketing support. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, helping with enquiries and orders, while also managing marketing activities such as email campaigns, social media content, and product promotions. Alongside this will be the back end management of our website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Respond to customer queries via phone and email in a prompt and professional manner
- Process orders and update customer records accurately including taking payments
- Handle complaints or returns with a positive, solution-focused attitude
- Liaise with warehouse/logistics teams and carriers to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues
- Maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers effectively
- Creating and sending regular email marketing campaigns
- Manage and update company website plus any social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Create basic content for marketing materials (product features, seasonal promotions, etc.)
- Monitor and report on campaign performance and customer feedback
- Support photo shoots or new product launches with content ideas and coordination
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a customer service or marketing support role
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp etc.)
- Comfortable using social media for business purposes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience in wholesale, retail, or home décor sectors
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or Photoshop)
- Understanding of CRM or stock management systems
