About the Role:
Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston. Due to continued growth and peak demand, we have both ongoing and ad-hoc day shifts available to suit a range of availability and working preferences. You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, with a focus on safety, compliance, and delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out deliveries and collections across the UK during the day.
- Ensure loads are safely strapped and secure.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
- Maintain clear communication with the transport office.
- Accurately complete paperwork and represent the client professionally.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card.
- Strong understanding of driver hours and tacho regulations.
- No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).
- Good communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
- Able to work independently and maintain professional standards.
