We are working with a leading European Patent and Trademark firm, well regarded for its longstanding reputation and prestigious client base, to appoint a CITMA-qualified Trademark Paralegal to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and expert team, supporting attorneys and clients in a full-service IP environment, with a particular focus on UK, EU and international trademark portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and filing UK, EU and international trademark applications and renewals
  • Managing trademark portfolios on behalf of a wide range of clients
  • Monitoring deadlines and managing key dates for trademark prosecution and renewal
  • Drafting and filing responses to official actions and handling correspondence with IP offices
  • Conducting trademark clearance searches and reporting results
  • Supporting opposition and cancellation proceedings
  • Maintaining accurate records using IP management systems
  • Liaising with clients, overseas attorneys and trademark offices

Requirements

  • CITMA Paralegal qualification is essential
  • Proven experience in a similar trademark paralegal role, ideally within a patent and trademark attorney firm or IP practice
  • Strong working knowledge of UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required
  • Experience using trademark docketing systems (e.g., WebTMS or similar) is desirable
