A top UK law firm is actively recruiting for a bright and enthusiastic graduate with some general office-based experience to join them on a permanent basis in their London office as their new Recoveries Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the wider Risk & Compliance team, working closely with the Recoveries Manager and Senior Recoveries Officer, managing the firm's debt-recovery process. This role would be ideal for someone with strong legal research experience, seeking a new and varied position within the legal sector.

As the successful Recoveries Assistant, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Assisting the team in triaging debt referrals and tracking outstanding debts
  • Conducting in-depth legal research into individuals and companies using tools such as HM Land Registry and Companies House
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of communications and taking minutes in meetings
  • Providing updates to clients regarding their debts
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Attending debtor calls with seniors in the team

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:

  • Experience working in an office setting, ideally within legal or finance
  • Educated to degree level
  • Ideally, have experience or exposure to recoveries/debt recovery
  • Strong research-based experience
  • Ability to commute into the London office
