My client, a top US law firm, is actively recruiting for an enthusiastic and professional Legal Risk & Compliance Analyst to join them in their London office. The team is responsible for providing risk, legal and regulatory advice and support to the London office - managing new client and business acceptance, as well as general compliance matters.
As the successful Analyst, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Completing client and matter checks
- Carrying out risk assessments
- Assisting with monthly reporting to the MLRO
- Assisting with management of the team inbox and workflow
- Keeping up to date with changes to AML and sanctions regulations
- Proactively monitoring the status of AML checks
- Conducting sanctions checks and maintaining the databases
- Drafting written analysis for fee-earners and the MLRO
- Liaising with the US Conflicts team on queries
- Assisting with lateral hire clearances
To be considered, you will have/be the following:
- 1-2 years experience within compliance from a law firm
- Ideally, educated to degree level
- Able to commute to the London office FOUR days a week (initially)
- Knowledge of the SRA Rules and AML legislation
