Our client, a City-based law firm in London, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Administrator to join their growing Risk & Compliance team. This role supports the firm’s compliance framework and plays a key part in ensuring regulatory obligations are met, particularly around new client and matter onboarding.

You’ll work closely with the Risk & Compliance Manager and wider team, providing day-to-day administrative and operational support across conflicts, sanctions, and risk processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out initial compliance screening checks, escalating potential or actual matches (conflicts, payors, sanctions).
  • Maintain compliance registers, including undertakings and process agent agreements.
  • Support client and matter maintenance, including updates, closures, and fee earner changes.
  • Run high-risk monitoring checks, including database and adverse media searches.
  • Manage inbox queries, responding to questions on compliance processes.
  • Assist with meeting coordination, including training sessions.
  • Review engagement letter reports and record correspondence in the system.
  • Provide general administrative support, including database checks and delegated tasks.
  • Support ad-hoc projects across the Risk & Compliance function.
Experience & Skills Required
  • A genuine interest in Risk & Compliance.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role (professional services desirable).
  • Comfortable working in a team-focused environment with a flexible approach.
  • Methodical, organised, and able to manage both routine and ongoing tasks.
  • A quick learner with good judgement on when to escalate issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective interpersonal skills.
