My client, who is well known for their private client work, is looking for a HR Programme Manager to join their London-based People function. This is a high-impact role supporting the delivery of a firm-wide culture and transformation agenda within a globally operating professional services environment. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, the Programme Manager will play a critical role in translating strategic objectives into structured programmes and ensuring change initiatives are delivered effectively, consistently, and with measurable outcomes.
The organisation has recently launched a refreshed business strategy focused on improving ways of working, embedding high-performance principles, leveraging technology more effectively, and strengthening collaboration across regions. Following a detailed review of its current performance culture, the firm is now mobilising a programme of change to embed new behaviours and ways of working across the business.
This role is execution-focused rather than strategic in direction-setting. It will suit someone who excels at planning, coordination, governance, and delivery, and who is comfortable supporting senior leaders to implement change at pace in a complex, international environment.
The HR Programme Manager – Culture & Change will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a portfolio of culture and transformation initiatives across the firm. Working closely with senior leadership, HR, Learning & Development, and business services teams, you will ensure initiatives are delivered on time, to quality, and with clear adoption and impact.
Key responsibilities include:- Programme Delivery
- Managing multiple culture and change workstreams aligned to strategic priorities such as leadership behaviours, collaboration, DEI, wellbeing, client centricity, and technology adoption
- Developing and maintaining programme plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue logs
- Tracking delivery against agreed outcomes and escalating risks or delays where required
- Ensuring alignment across functions and regions and avoiding duplication of effort
- Partnering with senior sponsors, partners, and functional leaders to support delivery of change initiatives
- Preparing briefing papers, progress updates, and materials for governance forums and leadership meetings
- Supporting leader-led interventions such as workshops, pilots, and engagement sessions, including planning, logistics, and follow-up
- Acting as a central point of contact for programme stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
- Applying structured change management approaches to support behavioural and operational change
- Supporting readiness assessments, stakeholder mapping, and engagement planning
- Working with HR and other teams to embed change into day-to-day processes
- Capturing feedback and lessons learned to inform continuous improvement
- Working closely with Internal Communications to coordinate programme messaging and engagement activity
- Managing timelines for updates, campaigns, roadshows, and internal events
- Tracking KPIs, maintaining programme dashboards, and supporting impact measurement through surveys and data analysis
The successful candidate will bring strong programme or project management experience, ideally gained within professional services or similarly complex, matrixed organisations. You are likely to demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing multiple initiatives in parallel, with strong governance and delivery discipline
- Practical experience supporting business change from design through to implementation and adoption
- Familiarity with recognised change management frameworks
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders while retaining ownership of delivery
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience tracking metrics and reporting on progress
