Our client, a global law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Paralegal to join them on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis – working as their new Shipping Paralegal (Transactional).
The Transactional Shipping Team is an industry leading team of experienced and professional Associates and Partners – they cover the entire spectrum of transactional shipping (sale and purchase, ship and asset finance, ship building, refit and repair) and they’re a leading provider of legal services for shipping, ferry, cruise, offshore, superyacht and jet sectors.
As the successful Transactional Shipping Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Drafting financing and transaction documents
- Liaising with external third parties (company, ship, aircraft registries)
- Assisting in the collation of KYC documentation
- Coordinating transactional closing meetings and arranging release of payments
- Preparing transactional bibles
- Plus much more.
To be considered for this Paralegal opportunity, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have a completed LLB or GDL (2:1 minimum/equivalent)
- Previous law firm experience as a Transactional Paralegal is desirable (as is Shipping experience)
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
- Be able to commit to a 12m FTC
