My client, a top UK law firm, is actively recruiting for an enthusiastic, articulate and professional Assistant to join them on a permanent basis in their London office – working as their new Compliance & AML Assistant.
The Risk & Compliance team is responsible for managing all legal and regulatory risks of the firm, ensuring compliance with the SRA’s Code of Conduct and ensuring the firm operates within the relevant regulatory frameworks.
As the successful Compliance & AML Assistant, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Identifying potential PEPs and high-risk clients
- Preparing and monitoring regular reports to clients with outstanding requirements
- Monitoring new client and matter openings to ensure all AML documentation is supplied
- Liaising with the Accounts Team regarding any AML issues
- Attending quarterly AML group meetings to discuss current/ongoing issues
- Assisting with the firm’s internal annual file reviews
- Contributing to risk-related projects
Ideally, you should have a good understanding of AML/Legal Risk & Compliance from a law firm and be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis. Some administrative/assistant based experience is also preferred.
