We are working exclusively on a Legal Assistant opportunity with a forward-thinking, client-focused law firm known for its impactful group litigation work. About the Role
This is a high-volume, client-facing role, sitting at the heart of the firm’s client support team. You will act as the first point of contact for inbound client calls - up to 80 per day - across various high-profile cases. These include matters such as emissions claims and sensitive product liability work.
You will be actively involved in ongoing litigation, kept informed of developments, and will work closely with Partners and team leads to ensure clients are supported with accurate and timely information.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a high volume of inbound client enquiries
- Liaising with Partners and team leads to stay informed on case progress
- Maintaining accurate records and updating clients with relevant information
- Providing professional and empathetic support, particularly in sensitive cases
- Occasional travel to the firm’s Manchester office (all expenses reimbursed)
Additional Information
- There may be occasional shift work; preferences will be considered when submitting candidates
- This is not a traditional legal support role and is well suited to individuals with a strong customer service or call-handling background
- There is scope to develop and grow within the team, with exposure to high-impact legal work
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a client-facing or high-volume customer service role
- Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
- Able to manage and prioritise a busy workload
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Experience within legal, medical or similar regulated environments is advantageous but not essential
