A global insurer is looking for a Legal Counsel with a background in insurance litigation (defendant-side) to support its international legal team. You will focus on complex disputes, coverage issues, regulatory matters and drafting policy wordings across global specialty lines.
- Handle contentious (non-claimant) matters across insurance sectors
- Draft and review policy wordings across specialty lines
- Work on ECO claims, investigations, and regulatory matters
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and compliance teams
- Exposure to Lloyd’s market and international business
You will bring:
- 4+ PQE, qualified in England & Wales
- Experience from private practice (e.g., Clyde & Co, Kennedys, WFW) or in-house
- Insurance litigation background (defendant) – ideally marine, energy, or reinsurance
- Wordings experience essential
- Ability to work on-site 3 days per week
