We’re working with an international law firm with a strong reputation across a number of specialist practice areas, looking to hire an Information Officer into their Legal Information Services team. This role sits at the heart of the business, supporting lawyers across Finance and a broad group of practices including Employment, Pensions, Private Wealth, Immigration, Contentious Trusts and Pensions, and Corporate Tax. You’ll be working in a genuinely international environment, where matters often span multiple jurisdictions and require commercially focused, cross-border insight. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants early responsibility, close interaction with fee-earners, and exposure to complex, high-value legal work.
The Role
- Delivering high-quality legal and commercial research across a wide range of jurisdictions and subject areas
- Supporting lawyers within Finance and EPPICC-related practice areas with tailored, business-focused insights
- Building strong relationships with fee-earners and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact
- Working closely with Knowledge teams on firmwide initiatives and projects
- Designing and delivering training sessions for lawyers and new joiners
- Reviewing and advising on legal information resources and subscription services
- Promoting the value and capabilities of the Legal Information Services function across the firm
- Continuously looking for ways to improve systems, resources, and service delivery
Requirements
- Strong experience using legal research platforms such as Lexis+, Westlaw, and Practical Law
- Experience supporting multiple legal disciplines (ideally including finance, private wealth, or employment-related areas)
- Ability to translate complex, multi-jurisdictional research into clear, practical insight
- Confident communicator who can build credibility with lawyers and stakeholders at all levels
- Experience delivering training or supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A genuine interest in international legal developments
