My client, a well-regarded and award winning global law firm in London, is currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join their busy HR team on a permanent basis. The HR Assistant will be involved with various HR generalist duties, supporting the wider HR team for London and the international offices.

Duties will include:

  • Assist with the administrative support for the full employee life cycle including on-boarding & induction, benefits, payroll, off-boarding, and changes etc;
  • Deal with general HR inquiries from staff and Partners
  • Manage the probation process, escalating to business partners when appropriate
  • Keep the HR database accurate, up-to-date and secure, ensure that they are being used effectively
  • Assist the HR Advisor with payroll collation and changes each month
  • Ensure data is destroyed and removed from the Firm’s systems in a timely manner in accordance with the Firm’s destruction and retention policy and compliant with GDPR requirements
  • Carry out research where needed, either internally or externally
  • Support the wider HR team as necessary with other projects or responsibilities
  • At peak times, assist with the arrangement of interviews as part of the recruitment process
  • Assist the recruitment team during busy periods and absence of Recruitment Administrator with administrative tasks relating to the apprenticeship and graduate recruitment process, including room bookings, diary management and internal communications;

The HR Assistant will have at least 3-6 months previous generalist HR experience, preferably from a professional services environment or wider corporate environment. The right candidate will be conscientious and personable with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. They will be confident, professional and driven.
