Our client, an elite US law firm, is actively recruiting for a bright and enthusiastic legal compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new Compliance Analyst.
The Compliance Team is responsible for providing risk, regulatory and legal advice/support to the London office - managing new client and business acceptance, alongside general compliance matters.
As the successful Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Conducting sanctions checks and maintaining sanctions databases
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of the firm’s AML and sanctions policies/procedures
- Drafting analysis for Fee-Earners and the MLRO
- Assisting with high-risk, ongoing matters
- Monitoring AML checks and ensuring they’re completed
- Assisting with lateral hire clearances
- Liaising with their US office for conflicts related queries
- Assisting with the management of the team inbox and workflow
To be considered for this position, you will need to have/be the following:
- 1-2 years’ experience working in an AML focused role (or as a mixed role) from a top US or international law firm (essential)
- Some Legal Conflicts experience is desirable, not essential
- Be educated to degree level, or have a compliance qualification
- Be able to commute to the London office 4 days a week (essential)
