Our client, a global law firm, is actively recruiting for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as a Paralegal in their Transactional Shipping team, focusing on Completion Services.
You'll be part of the wider Transactional Shipping department and will be a Fee-Earner with your time records for each file you work on. This role will also give you the opportunity to have direct contact with clients across the globe.
As the successful Paralegal, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Drafting transactional documents
- Assisting in the collation of Know Your Client (KYC) documentation
- Preparing transactional bibles and coordinating the collection/distribution of important documents
- Conducting extensive legal research
- Liaising with third parties (for example, ship and aircraft registries)
- Assisting Lawyers and senior staff with administrative tasks when required
To be considered for this Paralegal opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Have a completed LLB or GDL (2:1 or equivalent, minimum)
- Have previous Paralegal experience (ideally within Transactional Shipping, although this is not essential)
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
- Be open to and keen on developing a strong and long-term career within Transactional Shipping
