Our client, a top UK law firm, is actively and urgently looking to hire an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a 12 month fixed-term contract in their London office – working as their new Senior Compliance Officer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone available on short notice/immediately to join an experienced and forward-thinking Risk & Compliance Team. You’ll be working closely with the COO, MLRO, General Counsel and Manager – supporting KYC/AML processes.
As the successful Senior Compliance Officer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting enhanced due diligence and researching high-risk instructions
- Updating KYC for new/existing clients and conducting KYC checks
- Reviewing and maintaining the high-risk client register
- Supporting Compliance Assistants and Compliance Officers in their training and development
- Assisting with data cleansing projects
- Supporting the senior members of the team with managing day-to-day tasks and projects
- Drafting and preparing compliance policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience in a Legal Compliance position (AML/KYC and Conflicts) (law firm experience is essential for this position)
- Have a completed law degree (LLB/GDL)
- Be able to commute to the London office at least three days a week
- Be able to commit to a 12m FTC
