My client is a leading global law firm, with an exceptional reputation in the UK for its Banking and Finance work, now looking for a Senior Legal Recruitment Advisor to join their London-based HR team, covering an 18 month FTC.
The Senior Legal Recruitment Advisor will provide support across the firm's Temporary, Interim and Contract Lawyer service, working closely with the wider team. Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a first-class service.
The key duties will include:
- Develop and deliver a targeted talent pipeline strategy to ensure a steady flow of high-calibre flexible lawyers across key practice groups, including banking, capital markets, financial regulation and investment funds.
- Partner closely with the client team to support live mandates, aligning lawyer capability with client requirements and contributing to overall commercial objectives.
- Expand and diversify talent channels through proactive sourcing, targeted outreach and relationship-building across networks such as alumni communities and partner/associate referrals.
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for flexible lawyers, ensuring a seamless, high-quality candidate journey from initial engagement through to onboarding.
- Review applications, conduct interviews, manage offer processes, complete referencing and oversee onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the business.
- Maintain accurate, timely data within the ATS and use system insights to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with flexible lawyers, keeping profiles updated and ensuring readiness for upcoming assignments.
- Develop a solid understanding of the relevant practice areas to strengthen conversations with lawyers and internal stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with partners and practice groups to uphold quality standards and ensure the right talent is deployed.
- Contribute to the growth and engagement of the flexible lawyer community, supporting initiatives that enhance the overall experience.
- Operate as part of a global talent function, providing support and additional capacity across teams during peak periods.
The Senior Legal Recruitment Advisor will ideally have previous legal recruitment experience from an agency environment, or similar. They must be confident yet discreet and have excellent communication skills across all levels of the firm. The right candidate will have flexibility with work hours, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft and legal recruitment systems. Strong data and reporting skills and previous legal recruitment experience are desirable but not essential.
