Our client is a reputable global law firm seeking a flexible & strategic HR Business Partner to join their growing team in their London offices on a 12 month FTC basis.

The main responsibilities for the HR Business Partner will be to work collaboratively with the business to help them achieve their strategic goals through identifying the organisational and people priorities, adopting a responsive, client and solution-focused approach, delivering best practice, and commercial HR solutions.

  • Developing and delivering an annual HR plan, aimed at driving employee engagement, a higher performance culture and ensuring best practice HR solutions in support of the delivery of the client group's business plan.
  • Diagnosing and analysing team and individual development needs while clarifying resource requirements and engaging the Recruitment team to deliver against these needs.
  • Providing trusted one-to-one guidance and coaching to partners on all HR matters.
  • Advising on HR policy, recommending appropriate actions and ensuring these are carried out.
  • Managing the annual performance evaluation cycle and leading discussions around salary and bonus reviews.
  • Supporting talent management and succession/pipeline planning activities including the management of the annual promotion process.
  • Partnering closely with the regional HR team, expert functions and end to end service centres to deliver HR solutions to our internal stakeholders.
  • Coaching, mentoring and motivating the HROs and HR Coordinator, giving regular feedback and feeding into formal performance reviews.

The HR Business Partner will have previous HR experience of at least three years operating in a similar role within a professional services organisation along with being a strategic thinker with a commercial understanding translating business goals into HR priorities. It will be essential to possess strong client service ethos, influencing and presentation skills to establish senior-level credibility and in-depth working knowledge of HR legislation, principles, policies, and procedures. The right candidate will demonstrate a flexible approach to meet current and future business needs while developing strong relationships with clients and people at all levels. The HR Business Partner will be a leader in developing solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems whilst implementing a collaborative approach.
