Compliance Analyst – Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Paralegals with relevant AML/Conflicts experience and Compliance Analysts are both encouraged to apply.

We are partnered with a leading international law firm that is looking to hire a Compliance Analyst to join its established

Business Acceptance Team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within

Risk & Compliance , with exposure to international business acceptance activities across a variety of practice areas.

You’ll play a key role in the onboarding of new clients and matters, with a focus on client due diligence, conflicts analysis and risk assessment .

You’ll work closely with legal practitioners, Risk & Compliance teams and colleagues across the UK and US, gaining broad exposure to the firm's international operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct conflicts analysis and client due diligence on new clients and matters.
  • Identify, assess and escalate higher-risk and reputational issues , including AML and sanctions risks.
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of information barriers .
  • Liaise with partners and legal practitioners regarding conflicts, AML risks and matter opening.
  • Manage queries received through the

Business Acceptance inbox .

  • Ensure matters are opened accurately and within required timescales using

Intapp Open .

  • Support wider Business Acceptance projects, process improvements and team initiatives.

You’ll ideally have

  • At least

1 year’s experience within a law firm Risk & Compliance environment , with exposure to AML, KYC/CDD and/or conflicts.

  • Alternatively, a

Paralegal background with relevant AML, KYC/CDD or Conflicts experience will be considered.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Experience with

Intapp Open would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • A background in Law, Business, Finance, Criminology, Economics or another analytical/regulated discipline would be beneficial, but relevant experience will also be considered.
