My client is a leading Litigation and Employment law specialist, now looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to join a collaborative and people-focused organisation with a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and employee engagement. Working as part of a well-established HR function, you will act as the primary HR contact for the Belfast office, partnering with stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, commercial, and employee-focused HR solutions. As Senior HR Advisor, you will provide hands-on HR support across a broad range of people matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, employee wellbeing, and organisational development. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, managers, talent acquisition, learning and development, payroll, and HR operations teams to ensure an exceptional employee experience from onboarding through to departure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive HR advice and guidance to partners, managers, and employees on a wide range of people-related matters.
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
- Support managers with performance management, capability concerns, and complex employee issues.
- Manage parental leave processes and provide ongoing support to employees throughout their leave journey.
- Coordinate flexible and hybrid working arrangements, including formal requests and policy guidance.
- Oversee probation reviews and support managers with performance concerns where required.
- Partner with the recruitment team to support hiring activity, including stakeholder engagement and role scoping.
- Work closely with HR Operations to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Conduct new starter check-ins to support successful integration and employee engagement.
- Lead exit interviews and analyse trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives across the business.
- Manage sickness absence processes, including return-to-work meetings and occupational health referrals.
- Provide guidance on employee wellbeing, workplace adjustments, and disability-related support.
- Ensure payroll-related changes are communicated accurately and within required deadlines.
- Produce management information, reports, and HR analytics as required.
- Contribute to annual appraisal, salary review, bonus, and promotion processes.
- Maintain regular communication with wider HR teams regarding ongoing activity and key people matters.

You will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor position.
- Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing a range of HR cases.
- Experience gained within professional services, legal, financial services, accountancy, consultancy, or a similarly corporate environment would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Experience using HR systems and employee databases.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
