My client, a top UK law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance/AML professional to join them on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract basis in their London office - working as their new Compliance Officer.
This is a terrific opportunity to join a supportive, friendly and experienced team with a clear path for progression. They are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join them, working closely with the Head of Compliance - ensuring the firm complies with relevant regulations and new client procedures.
As the successful Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Advising Fee-Earners on the firm's AML requirements
- Conducting sanction checks and reporting sanctions when necessary
- Reviewing and running conflicts checks
- Advising staff on the firm's best practice and compliance policies
- Monitoring client and client due diligence checks (for high-risk clients)
- Updating and reviewing internal policies/procedures
To be considered for this new opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a Legal Compliance/AML position (law firm experience is essential)
- Have knowledge of SRA Regulations and AML
- Be able to commute to the London office at least 3 days a week
