We are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our supportive team. You will deliver hands-on therapy, assessments, and intervention plans for students with complex speech, language, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to pupils with a variety of communication needs, including those with ASC, dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualised therapy plans that align with each learner's educational goals and developmental stage.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other therapists to integrate therapy into daily classroom routines and learning activities.
  • Offer guidance and training to school staff on strategies to support speech, language, and communication needs in the classroom.
  • Engage with families to share strategies, offer support, and ensure consistency between school and home environments.
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation, including progress reports, session notes, and contributions to EHCPs and review meetings.
  • Take part in regular professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapy services within the school.

Person Specification

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a qualified SaLT.
  • HCPC and RCSLT membership.
  • Experience of assessing and implementing appropriate management plans for speech and language therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASC, dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties.
