Our client is a growing company who specialise in Passive Fire Systems. They carry out structural fire protection, fire stopping, air sealing, insulation, composite fire rated walling and associated works. Based in Ramsgate, Kent, the candidate will also be willing to travel within the UK to various sites. Due to continued growth and new business, they are looking to recruit a Site Manager.
The Role:
- Responsible for ensuring that multiple projects are completed to the technical requirements required.
- Responsible for ensuring the effective day to day delivery of projects in a safe, timely and profitable manner.
- Responsible for estimating & quantifying of works.
- Become embedded within the client’s delivery team.
- Establish and develop strong relations with key individuals and decision makers within the targeted client base.
- Build, develop, support, and maintain the team.
- Work with the team to suggest, explore, and deliver new and innovative ways of working.
- Support the commercial team by providing operational support as required, which may include providing programme support, plans, risk assessments etc., as well as chairing and participating in meetings.
- Monitor progress with up-to-date programmes so that timely, clear direction can be given to the team on critical construction and financial targets.
- Ensure RAMS are available for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
- Attend and contribute to operational, management and internal team meetings.
- Maintain HSEQ in line with company procedures and industry legislation.
The Person:
- You will have demonstrated a high degree of competence and success in the delivery of projects safely, on-time, to budget and to the complete satisfaction of the client and the business.
- Proven technical and Contract management abilities.
- Strong organisational, management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of HSEQ issues relevant to the project environment.
- Management of sub-contractors.
- A working knowledge of Passive Fire systems.
- Ability to prepare and submit detailed progress reports both internally and externally.
Hours: 7.30am - 5pm but will need to be flexible if travelling to and from site.
