We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Team Leader, working with offenders in custody to help them prepare for work on release. The job involves leading and mentoring a disperse team of careers advisors who are working with people serving custodial sentences, to engage them in learning, training and employment opportunities, so they’re ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.
Application Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with offenders
- Experience of line managing people, to enable them to fulfil their potential at work
- Experience of managing teams who help offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives
- Ability to connect with people to help them progress in a prison environment, embrace quality and compliance requirements of the contract, and work towards individual targets
