We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Career Information Advice and Guidance (CIAG) Adviser, working with offenders in custody to help them prepare for work on release. If you have experience of working with offenders or other disadvantaged people and you want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

The job involves working with people serving custodial sentences, to engage them in learning, training and employment opportunities, so they are ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.

You’ll need to be:

  • confident and proactive
  • a good communicator with a non-judgemental approach
  • comfortable working on databases and have a strong attention to detail

We are especially looking for applicants who have experience of helping offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives. If you’re someone who can really connect with people to help them to progress, work in a prison environment, embrace the quality and compliance requirements of the contract and have the skills to work towards individual targets, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ll give you all the training you need to do the job and to get established in the new role. Our teams are always supportive and friendly towards new starters, to help them to settle into the job. We are particularly interested in applicants who hold a Level 4 or above in IAG.

The contract requires a 37.5h working week and we also offer flexitime, so when we ask our staff to do extra, we always make sure they’ve got those hours to take back another time. It’s a great benefit of working for Career Connect.

Are you ready to join a high-performing team and make a contribution to changing lives?
