Do you want to help young people think positively about their future?

Work on the new exciting Liverpool Trailblazer Programme to support disadvantaged care-experienced young people, by mentoring and offering individual tailored support, moving them closer to the labour market and into work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training.
  • Use coaching methods and approaches and build relationships to help young people think positively about their futures; track progress and keep them engaged.
  • Support them to overcome a range of barriers and achieve their goals, including moving into employment, education or training, or building personal and social skills.
  • Link them to wellbeing and mental health support when required.
  • Help young people identify strengths and interests, build confidence and explore options.
  • Maintain direct contact with young people, parents/carers and a range of professionals from support services, partner organisations, training providers and employers; practise strong communication and relationship building skills.
Location

The role is based at our office at Crawford House, but you will work flexibly in venues in the community across the area. You must be able to manage your time well and travel independently.

Qualifications

Preferably Level 3 or 4 in Careers Advice and Guidance, but we consider candidates with at least 12 months experience in a similar role who are willing to work towards a qualification.
