  • Contract Reviews

  • Employment Advice

  • Advice on Termination / post termination obligations

  • Legal research and monitor trends

The span and scope of the role – multiple members, tight deadlines, plus the breadth of employment issues and scenarios - means that it is a busy and pressurised job, requiring expert organisation and the ability to juggle multiple requests and conflicting priorities.

Although respected as a Professional and an Expert, you will be most effective and value-adding when partnering with members, stakeholders and partners to find compliant, practical and risk-based solutions.

You might currently be in a similar in-house role and looking for more breadth and variety, or you could be keen to move from a Legal Practice to an in-house post, wanting to partner more closely with the organisation.

Candidates need to be

  • A Qualified Solicitor – ideally with 5 years’ PQE

  • Familiar with the relevant employment statutory, regulatory and common law

  • Experienced in contract drafting, negotiations and contractual disputes

  • Strong at relationship-building skills; with key internal stakeholders and external legal advisers

  • A love of competitive sport is a great advantage.

In addition, we are looking for someone with the personality and drive to build strong business relationships at all levels across the organisation with the energy and drive to make a difference. Plus, the comfort in balancing the certainty of compliance, legislation, and regulations, with the ambiguity of a growing and evolving organisation.
