An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in the Somerset region has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer based on a retail contract in the Somerset region, including locations such as Wellington, Bridport, Sherbourne, Crewkerne & Wells. The successful candidate will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across these five sites.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

  • Travel paid after 30 minutes each way

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 08:00-17:00

Callout: 1 in 9 – £130 per week

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lighting (small installations, fault‑finding, lamping, etc.)
  • Emergency lighting tests
  • Control panels and ballast changes
  • BMS system monitoring (hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update log books
  • Plumbing – unblocking toilets
  • Pumps and motors maintenance
  • Compliance and logbook duties
  • Chillers and pressurisation units
  • Perform allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner
  • Proactively identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them
  • Report and/or escalate H&S issues as required
  • Maintain informal communication with client staff about service levels and issues
  • Report service‑affecting incidents to the site management team for formal communication with the client
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks within personal competency
  • Be fully aware of relevant health and safety and general legislative matters
  • Escort specialist subcontractors
Requirements:
  • Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 2 (required)
  • Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 3 (highly desirable)
  • City & Guilds – 18th Edition
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi‑skilled
