Responsibilities
- Deliver garage doors nationwide to builders' merchants and construction sites across the UK using a curtain side trailer.
- Ensure loads are transported safely and securely through the use of ratchet straps and occasional manual handling.
- Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using a company-issued mobile device.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing timely updates to support efficient operations.
- Undertake overnight stays as required, embracing the variety and independence that comes with long-distance driving.
- Participate in regular training and development programmes to enhance skills and stay up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Work on a rota basis including Friday and Sunday shifts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
- Possess a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
- Hold a Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to represent the brand professionally.
- Strong time-management skills, able to work to tight schedules and deliver promptly.
- Confident and polite communicator, able to work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics.
