We are looking for energetic, outgoing people to join our team as Group Leaders (Outdoor Activity Instructors) at our Maes Y Nant centre.

What you will be doing as a Group Leader (Outdoor Activity Instructor)

Over a 3-day residential course, you will lead a group of key stage 2 children through a range of fun, adventure and themed activities. But it’s more than that, you will:

  • Build confidence in children aged 7–11
  • Encourage teamwork and resilience
  • Bring sessions to life through storytelling and energy

No two days are the same, and the impact you make is real.

What you will get

  • £13.45 per hour (£1,650 - £1,700 per month estimated based on a 33‑hour per week contract)
  • Pay increases with experience and responsibility

Training & Development

Gain nationally recognised qualifications in:

  • Archery
  • First Aid
  • Paddle Sports
  • Climbing

Also a catalogue of courses available, including Autism Awareness, Child Mental Health Training and many more.

Wellbeing Focused

  • At least 2 consecutive days off per week
  • Fixed timetable patterns (published 4 weeks in advance)
  • Structured support from your manager

What we are looking for

You don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to be:

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and engaging
  • Experienced working with children (paid or voluntary)
  • Confident leading groups
  • A natural storyteller or motivator

No prior Outdoor Activity Instructor experience needed, we will train you.
