Strathmore is an extremely busy GP Practice with over 14,000 patients and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Reception Team to support our Late Shift of working hours 10:00am - 18:30pm. Flexibility is necessary as start times may change depending on the business needs.

The Reception Team has 2 Reception Supervisors overseeing the Team and we are now recruiting for a new receptionist to join the team. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

  • Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining the reception area.
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Flexible approach to provide cover for absent colleagues.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures as set out by the practice.
  • Using a courteous and efficient manner at all times.
  • Input of patients' data onto the system, e.g., change of address.
  • Good communication and teamwork, with work to be shared out in a fair manner.
  • Such other duties as specified by the Partners, Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, and Reception Supervisors.
