The role offers a salary range of £39,000 - £43,000 per annum, dependent on experience, which includes the hotel service charge, along with our excellent De Vere benefits including an annual complimentary two-night stay, £50 B&B staff rates for any additional stays and free use of our leisure facilities.
As our Executive Head Housekeeper you’ll be responsible for setting and maintaining high standards across the Housekeeping department, making sure our bedrooms and public areas are beautifully presented and ready to welcome our guests. Your eye for detail will help ensure our guests enjoy meticulously clean rooms and memorable moments throughout their stay.
You’ll also oversee housekeeping equipment and linen, making sure the team has everything they need while maintaining suitable stock levels and managing costs effectively. Building genuine relationships with your team will be an important part of your role.
You’ll bring organisation and a calm approach to the day-to-day running of the department, planning rotas and schedules around the needs of the hotel and making sure the team is in the right place at the right time. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the hotel and will also support the wider team by acting as Duty Manager when required.
What we’re looking for:
- You’ll have previous housekeeping management experience within a hotel environment, ideally in a similar property or role.
- You’ll be a confident and supportive leader, with strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and bring out the best in your team.
- You’ll be well organised, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, manage schedules and plan rotas around operational needs.
- You’ll have a great eye for detail and take pride in maintaining consistently high standards.
- You’ll be comfortable using IT systems. Previous experience with Opera or Fourth Hospitality would be helpful, although it’s not essential.
