Job Description: Hands‑On Workshop Manager HGV & Plant Port Talbot, South Wales. Starting at £18.00 per hour (with overtime) depending on experience. 40 hours per week. Flexible hours. Time and a half overtime. Permanent, Full Time.

Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day management of a busy workshop
  • Hands‑on involvement in servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Lead, support and organise vehicle technicians
  • Ensure all HGV servicing, maintenance and MOT standards are met
  • Maintain DVSA compliance and strong safety standards
  • Oversee plant and specialist equipment maintenance
  • Control job flow, inspections and maintenance records
  • Work closely with Operations Management and our wider maintenance teams
  • Cover breakdown duties as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a hands‑on workshop manager, foreman or senior technician
  • Strong knowledge of HGV compliance, servicing and MOT prep
  • Experience working with plant and specialist equipment including agricultural
  • Confident supervising people while remaining practical
  • Organised, safety‑focused and standards‑driven
