We're looking to take on a Workshop Labourer to support the manufacturing processes of a busy engineering machine shop in Tewkesbury. Modern, smart and clean premises. Long term job security. Very varied work.

Job Overview

  • Location: Tewkesbury
  • Essential requirement: Driving licence
  • Working hours: 39 hour working week, day shift, finishing at lunch time on Fridays, overtime available
  • Pay rate: £14.25 to £14.75 per hour
  • Contract type: Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Remove swarf (metal chips or filings) from machinery
  • Cut metal bar and sheet metal to length and correct sizes
  • Tidy workshop floor, wash floors and clean spills
  • Clean and pack components
  • Deliver products to customers using company van
  • Perform basic general building maintenance tasks as needed (painting, replacing light bulbs, general upkeep, basic handyperson tasks)
  • Deburr machined components as needed
  • Assist with any associated duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working in a similar engineering environment is preferable.
  • Driving licence is essential.
