Position: IMI Level 3 Qualified Mechanic – Permanent

Location: Worcester Workshop, Shire Business Park, WR4 9WW

Working Hours: Full time – 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Rotating shift pattern: week 1 06:00‑14:24, week 2 13:36‑22:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:36‑19:00 Friday. 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00‑14:24 (with a weekday day off).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: Β£39,715 per annum plus shift allowance of Β£87.58 per week for 13:36‑22:00 shifts.
  • Weekend supplement on Saturday (Β£52.10 per shift).
  • 22.5 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays), rising with service; option to purchase additional days.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
  • Use your personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair for light and heavy goods vehicles.
  • Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent).
  • Own personal toolkit for standard repairs.
  • Experience working on a wide range of vehicles, e.g., LCV/HGV.
  • Full manual UK driving licence; HGV licence beneficial but not essential.
  • High working standards and pride in workmanship.
  • Flexible to service demands and able to work in a flexible shift rota.
