Location: Harvey and Brockless, Worcester, WR5 2NT

Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 17:00 – 01:30

Salary: £27,039

Purpose: To be the first point of contact for customers, listen attentively and communicate effectively to deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction, ensuring a faultless supply of quality goods.

Duties:

  • Process voicemail and email orders accurately and efficiently adhering to distribution deadlines.
  • Monitor and verify orders received, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Liaise with customers regarding stock shortages, special orders and alternative products.
  • Monitor stock availability, arrange suitable product substitutions where possible and communicate any unavailable items to customers.
  • Handle general enquiries and direct more complex queries to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Encourage additional sales where appropriate, promoting short‑dated or overstocked goods.
  • Update the system with any relevant information received.
  • Understand the business and obtain knowledge of both the company and our customers.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to solve problems within the area of work.
  • Able to multi‑task and prioritise workload appropriately.
  • Accurate and thorough with attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work on own initiative.
  • Understanding of a quality‑focused environment.
