Specialist SEN School

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Pay: Β£105 - Β£115 per day

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Long-term temporary role with the potential for a permanent position

The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for children and young people with severe learning difficulties, autism, and additional needs, supported by experienced SEN leadership and multidisciplinary teams. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable learners and is looking for stability, consistency, and long-term impact.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex SEND
  • Supporting pupils with ASC, communication needs, and cognitive delays
  • Assisting with personal care, sensory activities, and regulation strategies
  • Supporting engagement through structured routines and visual supports
  • Implementing personalised support plans and EHCP targets
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals
  • Promoting independence, communication, and life skills
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND or complex needs
  • Backgrounds in special schools, care, support work, or mental health welcomed
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Willingness to support personal care where required
  • Commitment to a long-term role
  • Enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply (support provided)
