We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist early years setting, supporting a small group of children with complex needs. This full‑time role (Monday to Friday) operates from 8:30am to 2:30pm/3:00pm, with time allocated for planning, report writing, and team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualised learning experiences aligned to EHCP outcomes.
- Lead and support a team of experienced support staff.
- Work collaboratively with a range of professionals, including occupational therapists, educational psychologists, ASD specialists, and paediatricians.
- Support children with complex needs, such as ASC and medical conditions including epilepsy, dysphagia, and hypertonia.
- Take a proactive role in assessment, reporting, and documentation, contributing to high‑quality SEND paperwork.
- Build strong partnerships with families and local SEND teams.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with early‑years children with complex SEN needs.
- Strong understanding of developmental stages in early childhood, particularly for pupils working significantly below age‑related expectations.
- Experience supporting children with ASC and complex medical needs.
- Confidence in leading a team and coordinating provision.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
