We are seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant, in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, who can combine classroom support with pastoral mentoring, helping students to succeed both academically and personally. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, work closely with students who have a range of learning needs, and contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Alongside classroom duties, the role includes providing pastoral care, promoting student wellbeing, building positive relationships, and encouraging confidence, resilience, and personal growth. Able to motivate and encourage students, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference to their wellbeing and development.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent qualifications).
- Awareness of alternative provision settings and experience supporting students with additional or special educational needs.
- Previous experience working within an educational environment or a similar setting.
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively with students, colleagues, and wider stakeholders.
- Dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, student wellbeing, and British values.
- Can commute to Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
