Printing Machine Assistant Working via The Best Connection The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Printing Machine Assistant to join our client's busy production environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has good attention to detail and is looking to develop their experience within a manufacturing and print environment.

Hours of Work The role operates on a rotating day and night shift, working: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday each week Day Shift: 06:00 - 18:00 Night Shift: 18:00 - 06:00 Pay Rate Day Shift: £12.71 per hour Night Shift: £20.34 per hour between 21:00 - 06:00

Key Responsibilities Working alongside the Technical Print Manager, your main responsibility will be to support the team in achieving manufacturing targets by assisting with communication, planning and maintaining agreed standards of work.

Duties will include: Keeping paperwork relating to raw materials accurate and up to date.

Loading and unloading reels to ensure the printing press continues running efficiently.

Storing inks in the allocated areas and ensuring they match the correct label descriptions.

Supplying ink to the press throughout the printing process.

Weighing and recording inks in accordance with company procedures.

Maintaining solvent levels throughout the printing process.

Ensuring waste inks and waste tins are correctly booked into Despatch.

Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment, including dealing with spillages and mopping floor areas.

Cleaning and maintaining wash tanks, distiller and associated equipment.

Maintaining the rag system and ensuring clean rags are available in the designated area.

Ensuring used rags are stored correctly in the appropriate bins.

Assisting with the make-ready process and managing cylinder storage.

Ensuring pallets are maintained and raw materials are stored correctly.

Following all company Health & Safety procedures and guidelines.

Skills & Experience Required The successful candidate will ideally have:

Good communication skills.

Good administration and organisational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to use their own initiative.

A reliable and hardworking approach.

A willingness to work in a busy production environment.

Previous experience within the printing industry would be desirable but is not essential.
