Multi-Trade (Social Housing) A leading national property services and maintenance contractor is currently looking to recruit several experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to join an established and long-term social housing maintenance contract.

The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out responsive repairs and general property maintenance across a large portfolio of occupied residential properties.

The Role: As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for attending residential properties to diagnose and complete a wide variety of responsive repairs.
You will primarily utilise your plastering skills, while your ability to undertake additional trades such as plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance will allow you to deal with a broader range of repair requirements.
Working within occupied homes, you will regularly interact with residents, making strong communication and customer service skills just as important as your technical ability.
You will be expected to take ownership of jobs from initial diagnosis through to completion, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while minimising disruption to residents.
The organisation uses modern digital job management systems, with operatives receiving and updating work instructions through PDA/mobile technology.
Key Responsibilities: Undertake general responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties.
Undertake basic carpentry and joinery repairs.
Carry out a wide range of plastering repairs, including making good, patch repairs, damaged plasterwork and associated preparation and finishing.
Carry out making-good works following plumbing, electrical or other maintenance activities.
Complete general property maintenance tasks as required.
Attend appointments and communicate professionally with residents and customers.
Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment within residents' homes.
Ensure all repairs are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.
Accurately record completed works, materials and job information using PDA/mobile systems.
Comply with all company health & safety procedures, policies and relevant legislation.
Work independently while also contributing positively to the wider repairs and maintenance team.
About You: The ideal candidate will be an experienced Multi-Trade Operative, Carpenter, Plasterer, Maintenance Operative or Property Repairs Operative with a strong background in responsive repairs.
Previous experience working within social housing, local authority housing, property maintenance or occupied residential environments would be highly advantageous.
Additional skills in plumbing and/or carpentry.
Experience carrying out responsive repairs within occupied properties.
Good knowledge of general building maintenance.
A full UK manual driving licence with no more than six points.
CSCS card preferred.
DBS clearance, or willingness to undergo the required checks.
