The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor to join our client's expanding manufacturing operation. Due to increasing demand and continued expansion, our client is preparing to introduce a night shift and is looking for an experienced Injection Moulding professional to take responsibility for the moulding operation outside normal office hours. Pay rate including shift allowance is £21.15 per hour working 41.5 hours per week.
The Role
- Manage a small team of setters and operators, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Responsible for the day-to-day moulding operation when other managers and support staff are not on site.
- Troubleshoot issues independently.
- Following completion of the induction period, the position may be offered as either: Permanent night shifts, Monday to Friday 3-week rotating shift pattern covering mornings, afternoons and nights.

- Supervising a small team of injection moulding setters and operators.
- Setting and operating injection moulding machinery.
- Managing production outside normal office hours.
- Troubleshooting moulding and production issues.
- Ensuring products meet required quality standards.
- Working with complex mould tools and a variety of materials.
- Operating and working alongside de-moulding robots.
- Carrying out mould changes and machine set-ups.
- Monitoring production output and maintaining efficient running of the department.
- Supporting and guiding team members throughout the shift.
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter.
- Experience working with Engel injection moulding machines.
- Experience with complex mould tools.
- Knowledge of different injection moulding materials.
- Experience working with de-moulding robots.
- Strong quality control and inspection skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently and make decisions without direct management on site.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a small team would be advantageous.
