The role
We are currently looking to recruit a Chef to join our team. Within the role you will be responsible for planning, preparing and cooking meals and light refreshments, ensuring that a varied and balanced diet is provided for all residents. You will make sure that provision is made for individuals’ medical, cultural, dietary and personal requirements. You will ensure that the service is provided in a hygienic, efficient, and economical manner, as well as take responsibility for ordering necessary requirements for the kitchen. What we’re looking for
- An understanding of varied differing diets, such as multi-cultural, diabetic, vegetarian, and low fat (desirable)
- Understanding of different cleaning materials and their suitability to identified tasks (desirable)
- Experience of working in a kitchen
- Basic food hygiene
- Willing to participate in training
