We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment Team.

About the team

This team acts as the first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns and requests for support regarding children in the local community. The team manage the incoming referrals from schools, health professionals and the general public when concerns regarding the children's safety/welfare arise. The role of this team is to ensure that the referrals receive the most appropriate level of need in a timely manner; they play a vital role in the progression of each allegation and case.

About you

  • A degree within Social Work (degree, dipw or cqsw) with a minimum of three years post‑qualified experience is essential.
  • Experience as an Advanced Practitioner and a thorough understanding of child safeguarding processes are key.
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient and reflective is also essential.
  • A valid UK driving licence and a vehicle are required to qualify for this role.
