Role Overview

Murphy is recruiting for a Training Coordinator to work at Golborne, WA3 3JD. Murphy operates in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the United States, providing engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. Our support functions enable smooth project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs for groups of employees based on published training matrices.
  • Liaise with business and contract managers to plan, book and coordinate training for their teams.
  • Work with suppliers to implement the entire lifecycle of training administration from reservations through to certification and evaluation.
  • Receive training certification, apply for scheme registrations and ensure safe delivery to candidates and line managers.
  • Use and maintain training systems to record results and track compliance.
  • Arrange training events with key suppliers, producing and maintaining a published calendar that meets expected demand.
  • Ensure all training records, certificates and identity cards are recorded and updated in the company Training Database.
  • Record all training courses eligible for grant funding and submit application forms; forecast and deliver a Training and Development plan for all staff and operatives training across supported business units.
  • Prepare training records and competency evidence from the Training Database and associated reports for contract management.
  • Collect and process all internal and external mail (email and faxes) related to training.
  • Book CSCS Health & Safety tests online and dispatch appointment details to managers, including revision materials.
  • Produce training data reports for line managers and key stakeholders for audits, proposal bids and similar purposes.
  • Prepare invoices for training and process payment.
  • Ensure joining instructions, attendance registers and other course information are recorded on the learning management system.
  • Upload all certificates and course completion information to the training database.
  • Prepare and dispatch certification to candidates and their managers.
  • Coordinate/check CITB remittance advice and payment statements on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare packs, course material, trainer kits and equipment for internal training courses.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role supporting training in the Construction, Plant Hire or Logistics sectors.
  • Experience with invoicing processes, including handling purchase orders and goods received notices.
  • GCSE in English and Maths.
