Murphy is recruiting for a Storeman to work with the Murphy Plant at Golborne Plant. Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. So that our teams out on projects can run smoothly it is vital that we have robust support functions in place. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration and the efficient running of Materials / Parts stores within the Murphy Plant Business.
- Ensure excellent standard of Customer Experience; respond to Customer feedback and complaints – ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all H&S policies are observed and adhered.
- Maintain and monitor sufficient stock levels at all times.
- Ensure goods are stored correctly to minimise possibility of damage or deterioration.
- Day to day organisation of goods received in the quarantined area.
- Assist with the development of store procedures and practices to cover all aspects of material storage and distribution.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained on the company inventory control system (Dynamics AX).
- Participate in regular stock counts and reconciliation against stock inventory on Dynamics AX.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked and signed on receipt and are free of damages.
- Ensure all goods have appropriate codes.
- Organise stores so that all materials are stored and stacked safely.
- Maintain register of COSHH datasheets for all hazardous materials.
- Issue goods to personnel authorised by a completed stores authorisation note.
- Ensure that authorised personnel only are permitted in stores areas.
- Managing filing of stores issue notes.
Qualifications
- Experience within a store environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Consistently presentable and professional both physically and client facing.
- CPCS Forklift ticket.
