A Vacancy at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have an opportunity for Band 5 registered nurses to join our busy Emergency Department at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan. The Emergency Department has recently been rated "Good" on the CQC new framework. The posts are advertised as an internal rotation over seven days, offering applicants the chance to develop their skills, talents, and competencies across key acute emergency areas. As a new starter you are supported by our ED Clinical Educator who will assist your induction, training and development. Candidates will be required to present original certificates for qualifications at interview stage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide the highest standards of care to our patients.
  • Performs well within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Upholds NMC Code of Conduct.
  • Adheres to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in all aspects of multidisciplinary audit.
  • Participate in the development and application of evidence based practice within care delivery.
  • To complete patient documentation and undertake record keeping in a timely manner, ensuring that all entries are accurate and legible and that information systems are maintained.
  • To provide information as required, including notification of adverse events and accidents to patients, staff and visitors.
