If you want to work for a Council where everybody is encouraged to meet their full potential and make a difference in our neighbourhoods, we would love to hear from you.
About the role: We’re forming a new Strategic Asset Management Team to manage our Corporate Property, a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary group that will play a key role in shaping the places where our residents live, work, and thrive. You will be part of a team across a range of vital workstreams, delivering long-term impact and helping drive the council’s vision for Progress with Unity. Together we’ll ensure that our assets work harder for our people, our environment, and our future.
About you: We’re looking for innovative, dynamic individuals who are ready to bring fresh ideas, strategic insight, and a passion for public value to how we manage and develop our land and property portfolio. We want people who see opportunity where others see complexity. People that can think creatively, collaborate effectively, and deliver meaningful outcomes for local people. Whether an experienced Development or Estates Surveyor or an emerging talent on the RICS career path ready for a new challenge, we want people who can make a tangible difference to be part of a team that’s shaping the future of Wigan Borough with vision, purpose, and unity.

We are proud to support flexible working patterns when the service can accommodate this, and we take a blended approach to where we work (home, office, or community).
