Prospero Teaching is looking for a tutor with experience in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible, creative and nurturing approach. The role involves making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk students during the early years of their educational journey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to each student
- Create and deliver personalised learning plans
- Engage and re-engage students in education, bringing structure into their daily routine
Requirements
- Patient, empathetic and creative
- Experience in teaching English, Maths or Science at KS1/KS2 level
- QTS or equivalent, or equivalent tutoring experience
- Preferably UK classroom teaching experience or experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate (active, registered with the online update service) or willingness to obtain one
- Two professional child-related references
Logistics & Pay
- Location: within the community or pupils’ home
- Contract: temporary, full-time or part-time, ongoing, as discussed
- Minimum rate – £25 per hour
- Working hours are flexible, depending on convenient timings for the family
