Further Education College Location: Manchester Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Agency Placement) Pay Rate: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
The Role
As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students across a variety of courses.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
- Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting materials where required
- Promoting student engagement, independence, and confidence
- Supporting with behaviour management in a positive and proactive manner
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs (education or care setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning are desirable but not essential
